Customer Service Representative

We are hiring multiple Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) in SW Washington DC to support a health insurance organization through their open enrollment season. The contract will start on Friday Oct 5th, 2018 with training and run through the enrollment season (Mar. - April 19'). After completing training the CSRs will be implementing service and customer retention strategies through telephone interactions and written transactions which may include; member enrollment, interpretation of benefits, upgrades and coordination of benefits. There's potential for multiple extensions and the possibility of conversion to employment in our client's organization.

Tasks and activities include:
* Responds to telephone inquiries and written inquiries
* Help client interpret contract language
* Executes enrollment transactions
* Collaboration with medical experts
* Determine need for managed care initiatives
* Examines claims to identify key elements
* Calculates deductibles
* Follow through on overpayments OR underpayments
* Apply an expert ability to analyze client needs
* Identifies clients who are eligible or in need of managed care interventions
* Documentation of all client encounters

Required Skills

* Thrive in a Quality/Production driven environment
* Ability to defuse an irate customer via phone
* Customer Service Representative (CSR) 1+ year experience
* Handle high call volume (Call Center env. is a plus)
* Health care / Health Insurance experience
* Medical terminology / Medical information
* Skilled PC User - navigate between applications
* MS Office and learn production software
* Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-9 / ICD-10 codes is a BIG PLUS
