Required Skills

Suitable knowledge and experience include the following:
(1) Seven layers of the Open System Interconnect (OSI) model
(2) Function of Hubs, Switches, WAP, Routers, LANs, WANs
(3) IP Addressing with emphasis on TCP/IPv4. Subnet masking techniques and the use of port numbers
(4) Installation of network cabling
(5) Troubleshooting using Network Test Equipment
(6) Troubleshooting to component level
(7) ID Software problems from IP Addresses
(8) PC / Workstation configuration/setting up a network interface

- Any experience providing Classroom Training to adult learners is a BIG PLUS
- Ability to condense and simplify complex information and communicate clear oral and written instruction
- Ability to instruct adults with varied backgrounds and levels of experience in complex subjects.
