Elite Technical is seeking a product focused, Federal Bidding Specialist/Government Sales professional to support our customer, a family business that has been in operation for 35 years selling aftermarket automotive/bus repair parts to the federal, state, and local governments all across the USA! We are seeking a Sales Representative that can focus on our clients Federal business only. The Federal Sales Representative is responsible for identifying, executing, and servicing sales requests. This begins with understanding our vendors product lines, and identifying those products on RFQs (requests for quotation/pricing) that arrive from our customers via email, online portals, phone, and sealed (mailed) bid formats. For each bid opportunity, the representative will research relevant product costs and arrive at an optimal bid price that accounts for all ancillary costs, required profit margin, and the competitive environment.
We are seeking candidates with a history of successfully selling products (not services or software) into the Federal sector, understands how to operate with Government Procurement websites, and is sales-minded/willing to go above and beyond what is expected for customers. This position is 100% remote and is a full-time opportunity. Our client is offering a generous salary package, which includes benefits and commissions.

- Education: Four-year degree preferred. High School Diploma required.
- Must have experience selling PRODUCTS into the Federal Sector (not state/local, must be Federal level and must be product based)
- Big Plus: Experience selling after market vehicle parts or similar (not required)
-Must have prior experience/knowledge with National Stock Numbers (NSN)
- Must have experience working within Government procurement websites
- Must be sales-minded, willing to go above and beyond what is expected for customers. Should approach the position with an eye toward growing the business at every opportunity.
- Able to request and receive customer RFQs (requests for quotation) via email/online/phone/sealed bid, and identify line items that correspond to products VMP can supply.
- Able to Calculate bid/sell price based on existing contractual agreements, historical bid results, and effective profit margin.
- Able to read, interpret, and adhere to customers bidding policies, including delivery lead time requirements, brand equals, pricing term, and response deadlines. Complete accompanying bid paperwork.
