Our client, a leading federal defense contractor has an immediate long-term contract position for a Quality Control Specialist to provide hands-on electronic component and systems quality control.

The initial contract is for 6-12 months with the strong potential to extend or convert based on job performance and business needs. The selected Quality Control Specialist will be required to work onsite M-F in the Canonsburg, PA office.

Responsibilities:
- Compares defects against standards and recommends disposition.
- Review and disposition QA documentation (IDRs, DNs) and verify corrective action implementation.
- Participate and assist in performing audits.

Required Skills

- Must be US Citizen due to government requirement
- Must be willing to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
- Bachelor-s degree in a related specialized area or the equivalent is required plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree.
- Fully proficient knowledge of basic electrical or mechanical technology, ESD control, workmanship standards and drawing interpretation
- STD_001, 002, IPC 610, MIL-STD-883, or NASA STD-s certifications are ideal and may be required within 30 days of hire
