Network Design Engineer

Our client, a leading federal defense contractor has multiple openings for Network Design Engineers on their MUOS team in Scottsdale, AZ. The Network Design Engineers will design and plan network systems, as well as provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Deliver specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
- Coordinate third party maintenance for network equipment and troubleshoot problems with department users and department network administrators.

Required Skills

- Must be US Citizen due to government requirement
- Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret (active Secret is preferred at time of hire)
- Requires a Bachelor-s degree in STEM field and 5+ years of job-related experience (or equivalent), or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. (An additional 4 years of relevant exp. is required with no degree)
- Provide specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements
- Capable of performing technical analysis in data network planning, engineering, and design
- Proactively provides analysis for implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to network problems
- Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, hubs, bridges and gateways, etc.
