Our client, a leading federal defense contractor has multiple openings for DSP Engineers on their MUOS team in Scottsdale, AZ. As a MUOS DSP Engineer you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for development and test of specialized solutions that are used by our warfighters worldwide on patrol in hostile environments, whether urban, canyon, mountains, or jungles or even the Arctic Circle.
The system provides a familiar cellular phone-like service, allowing forces on the ground to communicate directly with others at higher levels of quality and much greater capacity than available through the current system. Not only does our client maintain the current live system, but you will help add new capabilities, enhancements and replaces end of life components.
The initial contract is for 6-12 months with the strong potential to extend or convert based on job performance. This position can be Hybrid with a minimum of three days working onsite at our client's Scottsdale, AZ facility.
- Must be US Citizen due to government requirement
- Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret (active Secret is preferred at time of hire)
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in STEM field and 3-10 years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
- Experienced with C++ constructs, classes, objects, inheritance, polymorphism, operator overloading
- Development and Execution of real-time C++ in Linux environment
- Experience with Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) Ettus Software Defined Radio
- Experience with Digital Signal Processing using C++ libraries for FFT
- Experience with MATLAB
- A Plus if Experience with use of Intel compiler and utilizing optimizations
- A Plus if Experience with deploying DSP components into a container environment
