Desktop Support Technician

Desktop Support Technician - IT Support Technician - PC Support Technician - Tech Support. 1 opening in New York, NY, lower Manhattan for our customer a provider-sponsored health insurance company. These are 12 month plus contract positions with extensions and potential conversion to full time employment built in. This is an urgent need with immediate interviews and on-boarding hiring cycle.

**What you will be doing**
- Enable productivity of users who are serving the company's members
- Provides quality deskside and remote support to end users
- Resolves desktop issues with various Operating Systems including Windows & MAC
- Supporting Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)

** What is expected**
- Installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting support
- Document issues into ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) software
- Follow up on service requests and problem tickets until resolution
- Help drive continues improvement
- Adhere to defined policies and procedures

Required Skills

**What you will bring**
- Three (3+) plus years of Tech Support with 4 year degree
- Five (5+) plus years of Tech Support with 2 year degree or vocational certificate
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- End user support in an enterprise environment
- Technical support skills including:
(1) Desktop, Laptops, Tablets etc-
(2) MS Windows OS
(3) MAC iOS
(4) Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)
(5) Active Directory
(6) MS Office 365
(7) Outlook 365
(8) Printer, Network connectivity, Virtual Private Network (VPN), IP Phones and Tablet support
- Deskside and remote end user support
- ITSM update and documentation skills and practices

- Preferred background - priority consideration
(1) Understanding of ITIL/ITOM processes and procedures
(2) ServiceNow ITSM
(3) Adobe suite, Adobe Cloud etc
(5) Certifications
i. CompTIA A+, Network+ Security+ etc-
ii. ITIL Foundations
iii. Microsoft MCSA, MCSES
iv. Other major IT based certs
