Citrix Specialist

Elite Technical is seeking a Technical Support professional to provide operational and project support for a Citrix Virtual Desktop environment running Windows 10 on 64 bit OS and Cloud based application support for Office 365 and other Cloud based production applications. This position is based in Downtown New York, NY, with a major healthcare insurance organization. Expectations of this position include;

- Configure and administer components of a Windows 10 and Citrix infrastructure including application publishing, system monitoring, troubleshooting, end user support, license monitoring, and system documentation.
- Manage build, test and deployment of a streamed image(s) that fully meet function and performance objectives.
- Maintain virtual production and test environments to be identical and to N-1 software version compliance.
- Provide support to all Infrastructure and Operation team in triaging problems.
- Process Service Now tickets per the SLA.
- Evaluate requests to publish applications, coordinates pilot group testing, submits change requests, and publishes applications.
- Configure, test, and maintain application upgrades.
- Evaluate & perform health check of current Citrix environment and business applications.
- Actively participate in requirements gathering and design for the virtual environment.
- Maintain virtual production and test environments to be identical and to N-1 software version compliance.
- Provide operational support to include performance tuning, capacity planning and maintenance.
- Maintain service support knowledge base to be current and accurate for use by support service personnel.
- Prepare work plans as needed; keeps to milestone schedules and deliverables.

Required Skills

- 5 years + user support including VDI, Windows O/S and network connectivity
- Current Technical Support / troubleshooting skills and experience supporting business based Cloud applications including Office 365 and other production apps.
- MS Windows 10 running within a Citrix virtual environment
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems over the phone
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively, multi-task and adapt to changes quickly in a fast moving environment.
- Flexibility to work overtime and on weekends to support a 24x7 environment, holidays and at peak times
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience and training
