Data Scientist

Our client, a multinational telecommunications technology company is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Data Scientist with a strong background in data visualization and business intelligence using Microsoft Power BI. This role will be instrumental in transforming complex data into actionable insights and compelling visual stories that drive strategic decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize key business metrics and trends.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Develop and optimize data models within Power BI, including the creation of calculated columns and measures using DAX.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions and visualizations.
- Perform in-depth data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, effectively communicating complex data insights.
- Ensure data governance and compliance standards are met in all data handling and reporting activities.
- Continuously explore and implement new features and best practices within Power BI.

Required Skills

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst with a strong focus on Power BI development.
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including dashboard creation, data modeling, DAX, and Power Query.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and relational databases.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience with other data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

-Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and data services.
-Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their application in business intelligence.
-Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification.
