Our Client, a multinational telecommunications technology company has an urgent and immediate need for a Senior CPE/Device Provisioning, Management & Reliability Engineer.

We're seeking a Senior Engineer with 6-7+ years of experience supporting CPE provisioning, device management, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) in a cable or broadband service provider environment. This role will manage platforms used to configure, provision, and maintain customer devices including cable modems, gateways, and voice devices. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with strong troubleshooting skills and no people management responsibilities.

This role provides expert consulting and technical guidance for end-to-end device activation and management flows, ensuring that CPE devices such as cable modems, fiber ONTs, residential gateways, Wi-Fi routers, eMTAs/ATAs, set-top boxes, and managed enterprise devices receive the correct network identity, service profile, firmware, configuration, and management parameters required to operate reliably on the provider network.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and support CPE provisioning and device management platforms.
- Configure, provision, and maintain customer devices (DOCSIS modems, gateways, eMTAs, ONTs, etc.).
- Provide Tier 1 production support using SRE best practices.
- Troubleshoot provisioning, firmware, and network issues involving DHCP, DNS, TFTP, TR-069, SNMP, and REST APIs.
- Develop automation and improve platform reliability, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and OSS/BSS teams.

Required Qualifications

- 6-7+ years of experience in broadband/cable network engineering.
- Experience with DOCSIS 3.x+ provisioning and CPE device management.
- Background with a cable provider such as Charter, Comcast, Cox, Rogers, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of DHCP, DNS, TFTP, TR-069, SNMP, Linux, and troubleshooting production environments.
- Experience supporting high-availability platforms and SRE/production operations.
- Python scripting is a plus.
