Our client, a leading federal defense contractor is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer for Undersea Systems. You-ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for developing Undersea Communication Systems.

This position is 100% onsite at our client's McLeansville, NC Design Center.

Required Skills

- Must be a US Citizen due to the work being performed
- Must be willing and able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
- Requires a Bachelor-s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field and requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
- Agile experience preferred.
- High Voltage DC Power systems / Module design.- (Experience should include multiple power topology design experience from few watts to KW+ converters)
- High voltage applications, power transmission systems, power electronics and HVDC technology
- Deep understanding of electrical engineering computer-aided design (CAD) tools and mixed Signal circuit analysis/design
- Circuit Design expertise
- Analog design and instrumentation (design and analysis)
- Circuit board test and troubleshooting expertise
- Isolated Switching Converters
- Strong troubleshooting ability: must be able to diagnose a problem by narrowing the point of failure sequentially through components
- Experience in the use of specialized laboratory equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment for development, testing, and troubleshooting
- Experience in working in a lab environment building circuit cards, assemblies, and modules
- Experience in writing specifications, requirements, and verification procedures for complex electronic systems and components
- Experience with Worst Case Circuit Analysis and FMEA for both design and diagnosis applications
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills with demonstrated success leading design teams for complex projects
