Elite Technical is seeking a Designer to join our client's Product Engineering team of creative and diverse engineers. Although the client facility is located in southern California, this position will consist of full-time remote work.

The Product Engineering Department is an organization of roughly 100 engineers that performs advanced electronic packaging development in support of a variety of products destined for space and air programs. The responsibilities include mechanical design & analysis using computer-aided design (CAD), conducting packaging trades, tolerance and interference analyses, generating drawing packages & associated electronic data, and supporting the fabrication, assembly and test of the hardware.

Due to the nature of the work, any candidate seeking consideration must be a U.S citizen. It is a big plus if a candidate already has an active secret or higher DoD clearance.

Required Skills

Basic Qualifications:
• An AA or 2 year Technical Degree in related discipline and 6+ years of design experience
• Electronic packaging, CAD, or mechanical design experience in an aerospace environment
• Demonstrated experience with PTC Creo software applications
• Demonstrated technical skills with experience supporting a multi-disciplined team
• Experience working with different partners across organizations and programs
• Proficient in performing tolerance and interference analyses
• Experience in generating and releasing product detail and assembly drawings
• Experience with Microsoft Office Software 2013

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with electronic packaging / mechanical design for airborne & space applications
• Electronics design development and sustaining experience spanning cradle to grave
• Experience with Enovia PLM software application
• Proficiency with electrical design and electronics manufacturing processes
• Active DoD Secret or Top Secret, and/or SCI clearance
