We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer with a heavy emphasis on backend technologies to support a critical database migration project. In this role, you will work on an application within a UI stack to transition its existing, on-premises mainframe database connections over to AWS cloud data sources.

Please note: The primary objective of this role is migrating database connections and data sources off-premises, rather than migrating the applications themselves.

Key Responsibilities
- Re-engineer database connections to transition application dependencies from on-premises mainframes to the AWS cloud.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain robust backend workflows using Java, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
- Support the front-end user interface by leveraging Angular 18+ to ensure seamless application functionality post-migration.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable cloud data access.

Required Skills

Required Qualifications
- Backend Expertise (80%): Strong professional experience with Java, alongside deep knowledge of MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
- Frontend Knowledge (20%): Hands-on exposure to modern UI stacks, specifically Angular 18+.
- Mainframe-to-Cloud Workflows: Experience working with on-premises mainframe connections and routing data sources off-prem.

Preferred Qualifications
- Direct AWS cloud migration experience is a significant plus.
