Healthcare Domain Data Engineer

Seeking a Data Engineer who will assist our client, a major healthcare payor organization, with building a new data platform! The selected candidate will be responsible development of solutions and helping transform the company's platforms deliver data-driven, meaningful insights and value to company. We are seeking candidate that can support the ground level efforts of data gathering to define future KPI-s, translate business to technical specs (and vice versa), define technical requirements for development team execution, and support future RFP efforts to acquire technologies to further advance this new data platform.

Although 100% remote, we are seeking candidates that reside in the EST/CST timezones to support this long term contract position (12 months+). Please contact Elite Technical to learn more!

Required Skills

- 8+ years of Data Engineering Experience. Strong understanding of data archeciture and large transformation build outs.
- 5+ years in Healthcare Payor/Insurance domain, as a Data Engineering professional with deep understanding of Healthcare data point.
- Prior experience in a complete data platform/ operational data store (ODS) build out (inception to delivery) is highly preferred.
- Tech Stack: DataFactory, Data Bricks on Azure
- Strong experience with gathering technical requirements, defining technical KPI-s, able to present data findings to tech and non-tech executives, translate data requirements and able to manage the process as a sole contributor.
- Experience developing and updating ETL/ELT scripts. Hands-on experience with application development, relational database layout, development, data modeling.
