Our Client, a global leader in delivering diverse Technologies is seeking a highly organized and proactive IT Project Manager to lead and support multiple IT, software development, and infrastructure initiatives. The Project Manager will oversee project planning, coordination, execution, and delivery while working closely with internal stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners.
This role requires a strong understanding of project management best practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. A PMP certification is highly desired.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Execution:
- Lead end-to-end project management for IT, software development, and infrastructure projects.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, resource plans, and communication strategies.
- Track project milestones and deliverables to ensure on-time, on-scope delivery.
- Conduct project status meetings and present updates to leadership and stakeholders.
Stakeholder & Team Coordination:
- Facilitate collaboration between technical, operational, and administrative teams.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate external development resources as needed.
- Identify project risks and issues, develop mitigation plans, and oversee resolution steps.
Process & Documentation:
- Maintain project documentation including charters, schedules, RAID logs, scope statements, and change requests.
- Ensure compliance with NMDOH project governance standards, state IT requirements, and security policies.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process gaps and recommending solutions.

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of project management experience, including leading IT and software development projects.
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects within government or public-sector environments (state experience a plus).
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and infrastructure project lifecycles.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello, Smartsheet, Azure DevOps).
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP certification (highly desired).
- Experience managing projects within healthcare, public health, or regulated environments.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams including developers, network engineers, and cybersecurity teams.
- Prior work with NM state agencies or NM DoIT.
