Our client, an IT Services organization supporting commercial and federal clients is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of network infrastructure initiatives. The PM will oversee upgrades and integration of Cisco-based WAN/LAN technologies, manage stakeholders across multiple agencies, and ensure smooth project delivery while minimizing disruption to critical judicial services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project management for Cisco-based infrastructure upgrades and deployments across data centers and ~70 remote facilities.
- Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and progress reports for stakeholders.
- Coordinate with network engineering teams on WAN/LAN design, configuration, and implementation activities.
- Manage dependencies involving state, local, and federal agency interconnections and cloud service providers.
- Ensure alignment with security, compliance, and continuity of operations standards.
- Track and resolve project issues, risks, and dependencies across multiple vendors and stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication between IT leadership, judicial branch stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
- Oversee testing, validation, and migration activities to minimize downtime or disruption of judicial services.
- Ensure documentation, knowledge transfer, and training are delivered as part of project closure
The initial contract is for 6 months with the potential to extend based on job performance and business needs. The selected Network Architect will be required to work 100% onsite Monday to Friday at the client--'--"-s facility in East Hartford, CT.
- Must be a US Citizen due to the nature of the role
- 7+ years of IT Infrastructure Project Management experience, with at least 3 years focused on large-scale Cisco networking projects.
- Proven success managing WAN, LAN, and wireless infrastructure initiatives across multi-site environments.
- Strong familiarity with Cisco routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, and security technologies.
- Experience coordinating projects with government agencies or highly regulated environments.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Strong vendor management and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and dependencies in parallel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with court, judicial, or public sector IT environments.
- Knowledge of cloud connectivity, hybrid network models, and security compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability design.
- Bachelor--'--"-s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
