Our client, an IT Services organization supporting commercial and federal clients, is seeking a Lead Microsoft SQL DBA to serve as primary point of contact for all customer database development efforts.

The initial contract is for 12-months with the potential to extend based on job performance and business need. The role is 100% Remote (must reside in EST/CST).

Responsibilities:
* Reverse engineer and document existing database applications with no existing documentation
* Work with developers to perform remediations and upgrade process improvements
* Get environment to a state where regular feature updates can be performed
* Contribute and lead further development efforts

Required Skills

Skills/Education:
* Expert experience working with Microsoft SQL and working as a lead Database Admin in a corporate setting
* Familiarity with MSSQL 2017 on a windows 2012R2 server
* Experience with Azure
* Previous experience with app development
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to present and communicate technical language to a varied audience
* Ability to take initiative and work independently
