Our client, a leading federal defense contractor has an immediate opening for a Linux Systems Administrator with an active Secret clearance to work onsite at their office in Manassas, VA. You will serve as a front-line interface to users with technical issues by conducting systems analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies.

Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day support of server services by performing server administration for physical and virtual server operating systems and building, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting of physical and virtual hardware and network related interfaces on servers.
- Responsible for all ConMon and compliance activities for servers & workstations.
- Perform OS and vendor software patching on servers and monitor physical and virtual servers- performance using monitoring tools.
- You will be expected apply STIG-s, run SCAP and/or Nessus scans.

Required Skills

- Must be US Citizen due to government clearance requirement
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Bachelor-s degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience.
- Required Skills: LINUX, Active Directory, SCAP, and STIG compliance
- Strong Linux background
- Solid understanding of server based operating systems
- Enhanced troubleshooting skills within the server OS as well as both networking and storage technologies
- Working knowledge to create and run scripts to automate repetitive processes

Knowledge of the following will be extremely beneficial: Windows Server 2016/ 2019, Windows 10/11, DNS, Group Policy, WSUS, Exchange, SharePoint, Nessus, Splunk and various software products such as Adobe, Skype, etc.
