We are seeking a Mainframe Production Specialist to join our customers PAV (Post Adjudication Vouchering) team supporting operations of the federal employee claims vouchering process. The PAV team is responsible for the processing of claims for 7 internal and external healthcare plan vendors. This position is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of supporting the various program modules that support the claims voucher and reporting process. We are a seeking a self-motivated individual capable of working independently as well as participating on a small team. This individual will apply analytical and problem-solving skills to assist with identifying, communicating, and resolving issues. Responsibilities Include:

- Work with existing teams to support coding changes to existing applications.
- Applications are currently written in COBOL and run via JCL in batches.
- Other applications are run over the Jenkins platform and coded in scripting languages (Groovy & Python).
- Expected to be familiar with legacy Mainframe projects.
- Expected to facilitate, monitor, and support essential programs written in COBOL in a backup capacity.
- Accountable for monitoring essential daily process runs, responding to any possible issues that may arise during any jobs run. Platforms monitored include (Jenkins, CA7, Mainframe)
- Diagnose, fix, and restart production and test jobs that have abended for one reason or another.
- Assistant project and development managers to define the scope and develop plan for the project deliverables.
- Accountable for meeting the milestones set for projects and day to day tasks.
- Conduct code review, unit testing and integration testing.

Required Skills

- Education Level: Bachelors Degree. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience with Jenkins Pipeline, JCL Scripting, COBOL/Mainframe experience.
- Basic understanding of JAVA code
- Knowledge of any ticketing system (CA-7 or Control-M = Big plus)
- Understanding of Post Adjudication Vouchering within the Healthcare Insurance sector considered a BIG PLUS
