Manufacturing / Production Engineer

Direct/FTE Opportunity with our client in Gulfport MS. Our client is seeking Manufacturing / Production Engineers to assist the 2D and 3D creation and file cuts of our client-s fiber-glass-related products for delivery to their customers. The selected candidate will work with the design team (post design creation) and the Production Lead, as a hands-on team member, to ensure the design is capable of execution, then execute the design on the floor. We are seeking candidates with similar experience to ensure that the designs are executed per the initial specifications, and the shipments are complete for the customers.

Required Skills

- United States Citizenship is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD Security Clearance
- Bachelor of Science in Composites, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Chemical, Aerospace, or other related engineering degree, such as Naval Architecture, is required
- 1+ years of experience within a production / manufacturing environment. Background in Designing Parts and Fixtures with oversight from supervisor
-Production/manufacturing responsibilities, product development ownership, tooling development, and manufacturing support supervision of several products at once.
- Manufacturing / Production of Fiber Glass or related products is highly preferred - not required (I.E: Aramid Fiber (Kevlar), Basalt Fiber)
- CAD tool is SolidWorks for both modeling and drawing development; experience with this software tool is required. SolidWorks 3D modeling and 2D drawings. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Subject Matter Expert in a few areas of the production process
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Working knowledge and participate in entire production process: drawing reviews, requirements matrixes, tool design, drafting, procurement, work instructions, machining, inspections, objective quality evidence
