Our client, an IT Services organization supporting commercial and federal clients, is seeking a Network File System v4 (NFSv4) Subject Matter Expert with prior implementation experience to help lead the enablement of this new technology for their customer, a large company in the Energy industry.
The customer is looking to enable NFS version 4 for strong enforcement of permissions applied to files within shares. The key use case is traditional Unix home directories.
Customer is also looking for someone who has operated in an environment configured this way and advise on the following: What is the reality of using a configuration like this? What problems can we expect? How do we need to prepare our Operations team?
Responsibilities:
* Lead the overall enablement of NFSv4 within the customer environment
* Address related business questions and make recommendations around best practice
* Serve as the subject matter expert on the technology
* Provide regular status reports
* Communicate across key customer stakeholders
The environment in scope for this runs: Solaris 10 and 11, RHEL 6 through 9, and OEL 6 through 9. The NFS shares are hosted on NetApp NAS.

Skills/Education:
* Degree from a four year university in a related field or equivalent experience
* Extensive experience leading NFSv4 implementations for large enterprise customers with similar environments
* Experience with NetApp NAS, Solaris 10 through 11, RHEL 6 through 9, OEL 6 through 9
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently
* Ability to communicate to key stakeholders across a large organization
