Elite Technical has multiple openings for Senior Network Engineers to support a DoD program in San Diego, CA. We are seeking Network Engineers with strong network design, communications, and electronics experience.
This position will support our customer, one of the largest providers of technology services to the United States Federal Government. The hybrid role requires the engineers to be onsite at the San Diego Spectrum Center at least 2-3 days per week (50%).

Basic Qualifications for Principal Network-Electronics Engineer:
- Must be a US Citizen due to government requirement
- Must have an Interim or Full Secret Clearance
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 5 years of experience; OR 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters (MS) degree OR 0 years of experience with STEM PhD degree
- Expertise with network design, architecture, specifications, and equipment selection
- Understanding of IP4 and IPv6 network design, including IP subnetting and protocols including BGP, OSPF and EIGRP
- Understanding of network device configuration and troubleshooting (ideally, Cisco IOS/IOS-XE)
- Understanding of advanced features like GRE, IPSEC, IP quality-of-service, VLANs, and multicast.
- Familiar with network management protocols, like SNMP, SSH, syslog, RADIUS/TACACS
- Ability to operate with considerable independence and to self-identify/pursue long-term interests.
- Ability to communicate well, including proficiency with MS Office tools, including PowerPoint and Visio
- DoD 8570 Security certification such as Sec+, CASP, CISSP, or equivalent.
- Ability to travel 10% of the time.
