Elite Technical is seeking a well-qualified Network Communication Engineer with NSX experience to join a dynamic team of technical professionals at a client facility in the Melbourne, FL area. Due to the nature of the work to be performed and the secure environment at this facility, any candidate seeking consideration must be a US citizen with an active secret clearance.

Sampling of roles and responsibilities includes:
• Assisting with implementation and additional design of VMWare NSX-T virtual network in a multi-tenancy environment
• Planning, design, configuration, and installation of network hardware and software in support of customer requirements.
• Maintaining technical expertise in all areas of virtual network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, switches, gateways, etc.
• Proposing solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings.
• Creating and ensuring that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions.
• Performing troubleshooting analysis of network infrastructure and associated systems.
• Installing and configuring Cisco routers, VMWare virtual switches and firewalls.
• Implementing and troubleshooting LAN technologies such as VLANs, Trunking (port tagging), Spanning-Tree, and Port Security.
• Providing third-level support and troubleshooting of network problems. Periodically providing after-hours and weekend support.
• Implementing and troubleshooting WAN technologies such as EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, and telco circuits (T1, T3, OC3)
• Interfacing with customer and managing customer installation timelines and deliverables to help facilitate successful deployments.
• Recommending data, voice or video network investment decisions to management and customers based on results of independent assessment of current and future network performance, stability, and network management issues.

Required Skills

• BS degree in a technical discipline and 4+ years of experience as a network engineer (or an AS degree with 6+ years of experience).
• Experience in all areas of virtual network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, switches, gateways, etc.
• Experience with design and implementation of a VMWare NSX-T virtual network in a multi-tenancy environment.
• Ability to install and configure Cisco routers, VMWare virtual switches and firewalls.
• Experience implementing and troubleshooting LAN technologies such as VLANs, Trunking (port tagging), Spanning-Tree, and Port Security.
• Experience providing third-level support and troubleshooting of network problems.
• Able to design and implement an enterprise network.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, PowerPoint and Excel.
