Network Operations Manager

Seeking a Network Operations Manager for a government contract to provide network operations management over 9 team members and interact with over 25+ teams (Windows, Unix, Cloud Operations, Database, Systems Monitoring, Data Center Services, Security, etc. in an IT environment with over 20,000 end-users across 400+ sites.

This is a REMOTE role, however must live in the DC Metro area in the event they are asked to come onsite for a client meeting, network emergency, etc.

Responsibilities:

- Provide leadership to the direct team members and manage and maintain contractor interface with the senior levels of the customer-s organization.
- Consult with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverables, ensuring conformance with program and project task schedules and costs and contractual obligations.
- Establish and maintain technical reports to show progress of projects to management and customers, organize and assign responsibilities to subordinates, oversee the successful completion of all assigned tasks, and take the initiative and provide support to marketing personnel in identifying and acquiring potential business.

Required Skills

- Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident due to government requirement.
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, Business or related discipline. The Contractor may substitute a minimum of 4 years work experience for Bachelor degree requirements
- Must have Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
- Certification in at least ITIL v3 Foundations certification is preferred.
- Certification in Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) is preferred.
- Ticket Queue Management (Change Requests, Incidents, Problems, Service Tasks). Preferably with ServiceNow.

Required Experience:
- At least 10 years of related local area network/wide area network (LAN/WAN) work experience.
- At least 10 years of experience implementing large-scaled projects/systems.
- Experience organizing, directing, and managing contract operation support functions for multiple, complex, and inter-related IT projects with a combined scope of over 10,000 users and 50 sites.
- A broad knowledge of unified communications, network, and telecommunications.
- Experience managing teams of contract support personnel at multiple locations.
- Experience maintaining and managing client interface at senior levels of the client organization.
- Meets with customer and Contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items. Ensures conformance with program task schedules and costs.
