Our Client, a multinational telecommunications technology company has an urgent and immediate need for a Network Automation Engineer. This role will lead the extension of an existing Core Implementation and Observability platform to ingest, normalize, and operationalize Fault Management (FM) data alongside existing Performance Management (PM) telemetry. The engineer will focus on Packet Core network functions and will enable downstream analytics and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) capabilities for NOC and Core Operations teams.
This is a hands on engineering role supporting a time bound project (3 months) and requires you to be onsite fulltime.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement ingestion pipelines for Fault Management (FM) alarm data from Core Network Functions.
- Normalize and correlate FM alarms with existing PM time series telemetry.
- Integrate alarm and performance data from NOC / OSS systems into a unified operational model.
- Expose clean, reliable datasets for analytics and RCA engines.
- Collaborate with analytics and domain experts to ensure data usability and correctness.
- Ensure solutions meet operational reliability, security, and performance expectations.
- Document data models, ingestion flows, and operational assumptions.

Required Technical Skills:
- Strong hands on experience with Nokia Core Network platforms, especially:
o Packet Core (UPF, SMF)
- Experience with Core Network Operations / National Core Implementations.
- Proficiency in network automation and scripting:
o Python (required)
o Bash / Ansible (preferred)
- Solid understanding of telecom FM and PM data (alarms, KPIs, thresholds).
- Experience working in cloud native or virtualized environments (Kubernetes / OpenShift preferred).
- Strong Linux/Unix skills and experience with APIs and event driven systems.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability stacks (Prometheus, InfluxDB, Grafana or equivalent).
