Project Manager - Part-time

Our client, a fast-growing Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business providing full-service IT solutions to both federal and commercial clients is seeking a Project Manager on a part-time basis (10-15 hours per week) to oversee a government project under DHS. The selected PM will act as the primary point of contact between stakeholders, including government stakeholders and the project team, facilitating clear communication and alignment on strategic goals.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate project timelines and deliverables
- Liaise between government stakeholders/customers and the project team (including prioritizing teamwork)
- Ensure compliance with requirements in accordance with the agency's standards
- Manage the allocation of resources, ensuring optimal utilization to achieve project success.
- Manage risk and resolve team issues

Required Skills

- Must be a US Citizen due to government requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in project management, including successful delivery or medium-to-large projects
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Unanet, Certinia)
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience supporting government or federal IT projects
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Master's degree or advanced certifications in project management or related fields
