Our client, a leading federal defense contractor has an immediate 3-6 contract-to-hire opportunity in Canonsburg, PA for a Sr. Electrical Engineer with a strong background in power system design, electrical hardware integration, troubleshooting, and high-speed digital design. Additionally, this role involves designing and developing complex analog circuits and implementing VHDL code for hardware description.

The position is 100% Onsite in Canonsburg, PA.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze AC-DC and DC-DC power systems and power control.
- Integrate, test, troubleshoot, and verify electrical hardware
- Design and develop analog circuits, including amplifiers, filters, power supplies, and signal conditioning circuits.
- Develop and implement VHDL code for hardware description and design.
- Design and troubleshoot high-speed digital circuits and systems.

Required Skills

- Must be US Citizen due to government requirement
- Must be able and willing to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 8+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience..
- Proficient using electrical engineering computer-aided design (CAD) tools and mixed Signal circuit analysis/design
- Creative thinker committed to staying ahead of technology trends, with strong background in test and troubleshooting

- Experience in the automotive, medical, or defense industries is highly desirable.
