Senior Systems Engineer (Tracking Systems)

Our client, a leading federal defense contractor has multiple long-term contract openings for Senior Advanced Systems Engineer with Tracking Systems experience for a DoD program. You will be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying the state-of-the-art ground operational system.

Key responsibilities:

- Collaborate with customers, mission partners, and other key stakeholders to translate requirements into robust system designs within a fast-moving timeline.
- Decomposition of end-to-end system requirements into architecture, design, interfaces, and test cases
- Coordination with developers and integration and test teams to ensure component development meet system mission needs.

We are seeking SE's with an active DoD Secret or Top Secret (prefer TS/SCI) to work onsite at any of the following locations:

- Scottsdale, AZ
- Colorado Springs, CO
- Northern Virginia
- California (Bay Area)
- Massachusetts (Taunton locations)
- Pittsburg, PA

Required Skills

- Must be US Citizen due to government requirement
- Must have an active DoD Secret or Top Secret (active TS/SCI is highly preferred)
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
- Agile experience preferred.

Technical Background:

- Systems Engineering: Proficiency in systems engineering, decomposing requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, design behavior with emphasis on:
- Software/Systems engineering: Experience decomposing the high-level space-ground systems design into ground software/systems design.
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Experience with MBSE methodologies and tools such as, CAMEO or MagicDraw.
- Programming and Tools Skills: Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, and MATLAB, including for software developer coordination, system analysis, prototype algorithm development, or modeling.
- Cloud Computing: Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in system design and deployment.
Simulation and Modeling: Background in simulation and modeling analysis with tools like STK, particularly in aerospace applications a plus
