Elite Technical is seeking an experienced software engineer for a long term contract position in the Baltimore area with a highly regarded defense company. This position requires US citizenship and an active SECRET clearance.

Sampling of duties:
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.

Required Skills

Basic Qualifications:
o BS degree in Computer Science or similar STEM discipline
o Minimum of 5 years of experience as a software engineer
o C/C++, Linux, GCC, Git
o Ability to assimilate new concepts quickly and independently
o Must have an active SECRET Clearance - Ability to obtain program SAP
o Work is onsite in the Baltimore, MD campus (No remote work)

Preferred Qualifications:
o GitLab CI/CD, DevSecOps, Docker, Clang
o OMS experience
o Strong professional written and oral communication skills
o Agile (Scrum-based) execution experience
