Software Test Engineer

Our client, a leading federal defense contractor has multiple contract openings for Software Test Engineers Electrical Engineer to work onsite at their facility in Canonsburg, PA. You will participate as a member of a cross functional team to execute engineering tasking associated with Torpedo Guidance and control systems and the associated test equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide system analysis, architecture, requirements development, trade studies, algorithm design, modeling and simulation, or integration and test.
- Work with cross functional teams including electrical, mechanical, software, systems, and test engineering to guarantee an integrated design that meets all requirements
- Follow tightly controlled engineering processes related to military applications, this includes writing requirements documents, test plans and procedures, etc.

Required Skills

- Must be US Citizen due to government requirement
- Must be able and willing to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance (active Secret is preferred at time of hire)
- Requires a Bachelor-s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
- Experience with NI based test equipment
- Test Requirement Flow Down to Test Plans and Procedures
- Test Equipment Architecture and Development
- Familiarity with debugging code and troubleshooting units and test equipment
- Experience with DoD processes and requirements
- Strong communication skills, (written and verbal)
