Our client, a multinational telecommunications technology company is seeking a highly skilled Switch Engineer to responsible for daily activation of ports / tunnels / timings needed for NR.

Candidates local to Plano, TX are preferred, will consider remote candidates.

Responsibilities:

- Troubleshoot configurations and fibers as needed making sure link levels are sufficient and no packet errors.
- Perform vDU testing to ensure port is up and servers are reachable.
- Daily support of CSR migration.
- Generate CSR scripting configuration file via portal or manual scripting as needed.

- Knowledge of switching fundamentals.
- Knowledge of routing protocols.
- Familiar with Nokia routers eg 7705, 7250, 7750.
- Experience generating CSR scripting configuration file via portal or manual scripting.
- Experience configuring ports / tunnels needed for small cell activation.
- Experience troubleshooting configurations and fibers.
- Knowledge of different Verizon Tools
