System Engineer - Planning and Scheduling (P&S) - CGE

Our client, a leading federal defense contractor has multiple openings for Planning and Scheduling (P&S) System Engineers responsible for common ground enterprise (CGE) system architecture, design and requirements for Mission Unique Software for Mission Planning and Scheduling (P&S) including designing an algorithm for automated scheduling of a 3000 satellite constellation. Seeking SE's who can design the system and integrate the COTS products. You'll be part of a cross functional team supporting our nation's missile defense initiatives.

This role is fully remote with the ability to travel to Scottsdale, AZ or Pittsburgh, PA as needed.

Required Skills

- Due to the nature of work being performed, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Willing and able to obtain a DoD Secret cleareance
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
- Agile experience preferred.
- COTS tool experience with spacecraft and ground P&S software products
- Experience with P&S product trade space including scheduling algorithms and open source projects available to automate manual tasks
- MBSE experience
- System Design experience including Mission Planning (MP) and P&S algorithms related to communication schedule optimization, orbital maneuver planning automation, software rollout planning and execution automation
- SE that understands the importance of SE ownership "cradle to grave" on a fast paced system design program
- Experience supporting MP and P&S development, integration, and test.
