Our client, a leading federal defense contractor is seeking a Systems Engineer with Integrated telemetry, tracking and commanding (TT&C) system for their MUOS team in Scottsdale, AZ. You will be a member of a cross functional team responsible for defining, developing, testing and sustaining specialized solutions that are used by our warfighters worldwide on patrol in hostile environments, whether urban, canyon, mountains, or jungles - or even the Arctic Circle. Not only does our client maintain the current live system, but you will help add new capabilities, enhancements and replace end of life components.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and document system architectures, behavioral descriptions and interfaces
- Define and review system requirements and requirement verification test plans
- Design, development, integration and test of hardware systems
o Integrated telemetry, tracking and commanding (TT&C) system hardware and software
o Troubleshooting ground to satellite communications
o Encryption and digital forward error correction.

Required Skills

- Must be US Citizen due to government requirement
- Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire (active Secret is preferred at time of hire)
- Requires a Bachelor-s degree in STEM field and 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
- Agile experience preferred.
- Experience with digital and radio frequency (RF) systems and test equipment
- Scripting using Perl, Python and modern software languages
- Ability to lead the systems engineering integration and test process
- Expertise in applying technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges in creative ways
- Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and positioning others for success
- Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements
