Technical Support Specialist

Our client, a leading federal defense contractor has an immediate opening for a Technical Support Specialist to work 100% onsite at their facility in Scottsdale, AZ.

Responsibilities::

- Provide technical support to field engineers, technicians, engineering, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, complex software, or networked and/or wireless systems
- Respond to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software
- Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering
- May be involved in customer installation and training
- Provide support to customer/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature
- Provide technical service management and technical support for customer programs
- Assures all repairs are in accordance with company policy and procedure and customer quality requirements

Required Skills

- Must be US Citizen due to work being performed
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance
- Associate-s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience is required plus a minimum of 3 year of relevant experience.
- Must have a Sec+ or another IAT-II certification - required at time of hire
- Troubleshooting in a Windows environment
- Experience with failure and root cause analysis reporting
- Must demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skils
- Experience working with Microsoft Windows Active Directory tools
- Experience working with network monitoring tools
- Experience working with Asset management software
- Experience working with Anti-virus software
- Support of DoD or DHS systems is a big plus

Desired experience:
- Knowledge of CA Spectrum One Click software suite.
- Experience with Oracle CRM
- Microsoft Terminal Server
- HBSS
