Elite Technical is seeking an Automation Testing Engineer/SDET professional to support our customer, a premier Federal Healthcare Insurance Organization! This position is a hybrid opportunity (1x per week onsite) and requires a final Face to Face interview in Reston VA as the second round interview.

We are seeking SDET professionals with strong automation experience, utilizing Java Selenium, Playwright with strong SQL and ETL validation. Responsible for developing, modifying, and executing software test plans, test scenarios, defines and solves for test data needs, automated scripts, and programs for testing in order to ensure the outgoing software and technical products meet and exceed quality standards. Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and their root causes. Test system modifications to prepare for implementation. Document software and application defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software engineers and product owners. May participate in the review of software design.

Required Skills

- Bachelors Degree required. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
- 5+ years of experience within Automation Testing/SDET activities using core Java/Selenium/Playwright.

Seeking a Test Engineer to support the Scrum Team:

- Validate ETL processes and MongoDB data changes through testing
- Generate and manage reports using Jira
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts
- Expertise in Selenium and Playwright for automation (Selenium experience is key, as Playwright is straightforward to learn)
- Develop test strategies (preferred but not mandatory)
- Participate in code reviews and requirements analysis
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines
- Perform daily API and UI testing
- Strong programming skills in Java
- Python and experience with AI tools would be an added advantage
