Tier I Event Technician


Immediate need for a Tier I Event Technician with flexible working schedule abilities! Our client is one of the largest integrated sports and entertainment companies in the country with one of the most diverse partnership groups in all of sports, and owns and operates six professional sports teams in the Washington DC area. We are seeking a Tier I Event Technician who can provide IT support during live events and off season corporate helpdesk support! Responsibilities:

-- Provide technical support during events inclusive of nights (2nd shift), weekends, and holidays.
-- Maintain the technical integrity of computer systems, network devices, and broadcast/arena A/V systems.
-- Document all issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in a ticketing system.
-- Test, maintain, and fabricate cables, adapters, and small part modifications as needed.
-- Image and install operating systems and service packs, as well as security patches and bug fixes.
-- Build, update, and develop Standard Operating Procedure guides used for training, IT operations, and work-flow management purposes.
-- Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills


- Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of Technical Support experience
- Knowledge of computer software, operating systems, hardware, and networking (LAN Connections).
- Hands-on experience with Windows and macOS environments.
- Working knowledge of computer software/hardware, Windows/Mac operating systems, mobile devices, and network switches/hubs and cabling.
- Cable pulling / installation background
- Ability to troubleshoot access point, wifi and computer configuration problems, both on-site and remotely.
- IP/Static IP knowledge
- Solid grasp of office automation products and computer peripherals including printers and scanners.
- Superb interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Able to work effectively both independently and on a team.
- Ability to resolve issues remotely and provide clear instructions.
- Ability to balance and prioritize work with competing target dates.

Preferred:
- Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST).
- CompTIA A+ certified.
- Knowledge of SolarWinds or NetScount
- Any broadcasting/media/2110/signal flow knowledge. Understanding of broadcast signal flow in a television broadcast environment; inclusive of video routers, video switchers, broadcast cameras, RF infrastructure.
