Elite Technical is seeking a VMware Systems Administrator to support our customer, a hospital system, in Eaton Rapids MI. This position is an onsite opportunity (5x per wk) and is a FTE position.

The selected candidate will hold primary responsibility for implementation, maintenance and support of applications and network/server infrastructure including but not limited to: firewall, VPN, and switch configuration, virtual and physical servers, primary and secondary backup storage. The selected candidate will support the VMware virtual server environment to ensure quality performance and delivery of hospital applications. Maintain peak network performance and optimum device response time. Monitor daily backup and perform file restoration as required. Must apply regular VM and Microsoft OS updates; maintain Active Directory and group
policy. Responsible for system security as well as internet and wireless access, security certificates, and anti-virus administration. Perform add/move/changes of phones, workstations and associated peripheral devices. Manage all projects as assigned. Respond to customer service calls. Author, monitor and provide timely service desk updates. Respond to off-hours calls and alter schedule as required.

Required Skills

-Associates or Bachelor-s degree is required
-Any IT certification is required
-3+ years of VMware Administration support is required (larger environment, 50+ servers)
-Active Directory experience is required
-Able and willing to provide basic Desktop Support and basic Network Connectivity troubleshooting
-Basic understanding around firewalls / IT Security in general
-PowerShell Scripting is a big plus
-Healthcare related experience is a big plus.
-Any Meditech EHR knowledge is a big plus
