Occupational Health Nurse
- Provide OSHA and job/site/contract required surveillance program services (i.e. hearing conservation, respiratory protection, visual acuity, bloodborne pathogens, biological monitoring, etc.) to identified employee populations in collaboration with Environmental, Health, Safety and Fire Protection (EHSFP).
o Respiratory Protection Program - schedule respirator physicals, perform fit testing, spirometry (must be certified) and Command Media form completion
o Bloodborne Pathogens - administration of vaccines and annual declination recertification
o Hearing Conservation Program - schedule audiograms and review for any shifts.
o Visual Acuity - conduct visual exams
- Ensure the maintenance of accurate recordkeeping in compliance with OSHA requirements.
o LX Administrator - system of record for all OSHA program certifications
- Partner with EHSFP to develop emergency exposure protocols and provide training for any on-site chemicals to include HF, cyanide, etc.
- Administer first aid for job related illnesses and injuries.
o Help determine OSHA recordability
o Manage first aid kits and inspect medical supplies in the facility (oxygen)
- Respond to emergency situations and provide first aid as required.
o Maintain emergency response supplies
o Monthly inspection of AED-s and battery/pad replacement
- Assist employees with workers- compensation process.

- Equipment Calibrations.
- Dispense OTC medications.
- Support wellbeing programming to reduce health risk, medical costs and encourage healthy lifestyles.
- Attend EHSFP staff meetings.
- Provide counseling, health education and training programs as applicable.
- Support wellness related activities. Examples include: wellness fairs, webinars, blood drives, lunch and learn seminars, flu-shots etc.
- Assist in the collection of data/metrics and analysis of wellness and occupational health programs and outcomes.
- Special projects as assigned.
