Immediate, contract to permanent opportunity to support our customer in Norman OK. We are seeking an IT Support Specialist, with a combination of hands-on IT systems AND network support. The selected candidate will design, document and implement different types of networks, advise management on decisions regarding hardware and software, provide server and network analysis information on recommendations on application development projects and maintain a communication network.

- At least 2 years of experience in network and systems administration. Assisting with local computer troubleshooting, resetting passwords, Printer support, VPN connectivity etc...
- 12+ months experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Server 2003 or higher (big plus), network and systems administration, Network Wiring Standards using CAT5, CAT6 and/or fiber, and PBX telecommunication systems.
- Current, expert-level experience with workstation OS, software applications and hardware.
- Ability/experience working cooperatively on a team.
- Experience with direct customer service.
- Bachelor-s degree OR an equivalent combination of education/job related experience

Desired Skills:
- 3+ years of experience as an IT support specialist or related position.
- Exceptional ability to provide technical support and resolve queries in a timely manner.
- In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiar training end-users on hardware functionality and software programs.
- Knowledge of reimaging computers from an established procedure.
- Updating computer software as well as upgrading hardware and systems.
- Ability to configure CISCO switches.
- Familiar with assisting in asset management.
