Elite Technical is seeking a highly qualified Technical Writer to join a mission-focused team that maintains applications, services, microservices, configuration, integration, and support services. The effort requires the development, testing, maintenance, deployment, and enhancement of a network and underlying services/microservices while identifying future capability needs and eliminating overlaps. The team will continuously improve sustainment and development in order to reinvest resources to provide new capabilities and improve the effectiveness, quality, and robustness of the underlying technology. The effort directly supports intelligence analysts and operators across the intelligence community and Combatant Commands.

The Technical Writer will function as part of a larger engineering team charged with building a networking solution. The Technical Writer will provide support to read and analyze highly technical materials and to create presentations of that information. This may be specifications, drawings, user manuals, presentations, reports, documents, and training. This includes support for mission systems, IT systems, organization processes, documentation, and training. This role necessarily deals with highly confidential and sensitive information, and the role is expected to confirm to best handling practices. Seasoned technical individual contributors will work independently with limited supervision and manage projects/processes, coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals. Influences others regarding system design, solutions and procedures when faced with difficult and complex problems. The Technical Writer will be actively involved with other technical staff through explanation of facts, policies and practices.

Required Skills

Required Knowledge Skill, and Abilities include:

- Security clearance status of TS/SCI is required. An established CI polygraph test is highly preferred but can be granted prior to hire.
- Must be DoD 8570 compliant at IA Technical (IAT)/IA Management (IAM) Level 2,
- Experience working on a development team under DoD/DIA Risk Management Framework
- Understanding of VMW products and/or CENTOS based architecture, Cloud, full-stack, OpenShift, and Java.
- Superior command of could-based terminologies and vernacular; written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to communicate solutions effectively to technical and non-technical audiences

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor-s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 5-7 years of related work experience; 3 years of direct support to cloud technologies Strong Visio knowledge; Experienced with Security Systems Engineering Plans and the Defense Acquisition System (PDR/ CDR / MVP / ORR / System Acceptance, etc.)
- Ability to communicate security findings across various stakeholder communities, including software developers, system administrators, project managers, program managers, system owners, and authorizing officials. Possess a customer-centric approach to cybersecurity.
- Working knowledge in architectural design and operational application in the following areas at the PROFICIENT level: Storage technologies, Storage area network (SAN) switching fabric products, SAN switching fabric products, Configuration, optimization, capacity planning, and troubleshooting of storage systems
