Immediate need for a Configuration Manager! The Configuration Manager provides overall configuration management infrastructure and environment to the product development team. The Configuration Manager has to ensure that the CM environment facilitates product review, change and defect tracking activities. This role includes writing the CM plan and reporting progress based on change requests, understanding configuration management principles, and preferably having experience or training in the use of CM tools. This role is responsible for the execution of the process which includes operating the defined and agreed process, ensuring it interfaces with all other relevant processes, reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of the process, performing process audits, and managing the process improvement cycle. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for configuration management (CM) of developmental and operational systems
- Identifies configuration items, implements change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits
- Works on teams to create and maintain software, hardware, and documentation configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.)
- Develops or modifies CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental or operational system
- Participates in developing and delivering training as requested by the government to support applications
- Implements CM discipline for the entire life cycle of systems from initial requirements/capabilities baselines to system end-of-life
- Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software, licenses, media, and other IT assets
- Ensures that all changes to the baselines go through appropriate change boards
- Tracks all problems and changes in product documents/software and reports changes, controls standard operating procedures and current configurations
- Uses or recommends automated CM tools to implement CM policies and procedures
- Familiar with GitLab, Bitbucket, Confluence, JIRA, Nexus, Jenkins and other DevSecOps tools.
- Security clearance status of TS/SCI is required. CI polygraph test is highly preferred but can be attained prior to onboarding.
- Must be DoD 8570 compliant at IA Technical (IAT)/IA Management (IAM) Level 2
- Bachelor-s degree in business, information technology, or information management, and 8 years of comparable work experience
- Five or more years of configuration management experience.
- Proficient in Xacta or eMASS systems accreditation tools
- Proficient in a Security Assessment and Authorization / Risk Management /Governance / Compliance platform (RSA Archer preferred)
- Understanding of VMW products and/or CENTOS based architecture, Cloud, full-stack, OpenShift, and Java.
