AWS Cloud Engineer


Immediate, Full Time Employment opportunity available! We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer with expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our clients dynamic team! As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on AWS. Your primary focus will be on ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based applications and services. You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the infrastructure, tools, and processes necessary for our organization's software development and deployment pipelines. Your primary responsibility will be to bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring smooth and efficient collaboration and delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will be working as our clients internal lead for their migration to AWS Cloud to their team of consultants currently on this project.

This position is a remote opportunity, but the selected candidate must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, or Virginia.

Required Skills


- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 4 years of proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or DevOps Engineer, with a focus on AWS services and technologies
- Strong knowledge of AWS core services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- 3 years of hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS native tools.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices in the context of cloud computing.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, ELK stack, or Splunk.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills to effectively work with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
