PMO Data Analyst

Our client, a major healthcare insurance organization, is seeking a Sr. PMO Portfolio Analyst to perform a series of activities in direct support of the Project Portfolio Management function. We are seeking a PMO Data Analyst that can assist the Director with creating project management visualizations/dashboards in order to have a clear picture of the entire PMO for executive decision making/forecasting. We are seeking candidates that have previously supported a similar environment, as a Data/Portfolio Analyst, as this PMO is in the very early stages of its development. Primary activities include: process management, portfolio management, data analysis, dashboard building and reporting.

This position is a contract to permanent opportunity with our client, who is offering career growth and stability, along with a competitive salary/benefits package. Although this position is 100% remote, we can only accept candidates that reside in one of the following states: DC, MD, VA, WV, NC, PA, DE, NY, NJ, TX, FL.


Required Skills

-Education Level: Bachelors Degree. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
-Experience: 5+ years relevant experience in roles requiring project/portfolio data analysis. Seeking Portfolio Analysts that can create dashboards for Project Management related purposes (project status, project importance, project timelines, overlapping project timelines, risk exposure, process importance, gap resolution, etc-)
-Due to the type of projects that this person will be tracking, we are seeking candidates that are familiar with Project Management Lifecycles (e.g. PMI, PRINCE2, etc.) and how they are leveraged with Solution Delivery Lifecycles to deliver technical solutions
-Must have MS Project (for tracking purposes) and SQL (for data extraction purposes) experience.
-Must have familiarity with data visualization tools such has PowerBI, Tableau or Excel

Preferred Qualifications:
-Knowledge of Earned Value Management Knowledge; CMMI
- Certifications - CAPM, PMI Schedule Management Professional (PMI-SMP), Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP), Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
- Enterprise Reporting tools (e.g. Cognos, Business Objects, etc.),
-Intermediate user proficiency with one or more Project Portfolio Management tools (e.g. CA Clarity PPM, HP PPM, Planview PPM, etc.). CA Clarity experience preferred.
