Windows Systems Architect


Elite Technical is seeking an Windows Systems Architect to provide DoD enterprise Information Technology Systems Architecture strategies, support, and subject matter expertise to support deployment and maintenance of the DISA Gateway Network, Research, Development, Test, & Evaluation, and NIWC IT systems toward improving and optimizing improve IT provisioning, sustainment, and utilization for the Naval Observatory Departments- IT goals and objectives

REQUIREMENTS:
- Engage and provide customer support to USNO departments and develop technology roadmaps to create an integrated enterprise from a systems perspective with a focus on core General Support Systems in a Hybrid, on-premise, or off-premise IT systems architecture; Serve as Technical Lead of Windows enterprise IT system strategies and supervise the supporting teams during integration & implementation;
- Engage with Information Assurance staff to base line and implement security requirements in compliance with the DoD Risk Management Framework and NIST SP 800-53 Rev4;
- Perform systems engineering and analysis from an enterprise IT approach to validate best practices founded on the technical, operational, security, and systems administration
Requirements for the Navy networks;
- Collaborate with the network engineers and administrators to determine and apply communications network best practices from a network engineering approach
- Support preparation and maintenance of system and/or engineering design documentation; strong knowledge of MS Visio, and working knowledge of MS Project;

Required Skills


- Must hold an active Top Secret DoD Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
- Security+ certification is required
- Must be Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)

- 10+ years experience managing Active Directory for an enterprise; knowledgeable in the use of scripting using PowerShell, Puppet, or other predominant scripting language compatible with Windows Enterprise Systems;
- 10+ years experience implementing SharePoint architecture from a systems operations and infrastructure support approach site collection systems, and SharePoint Distribution strategies;-
- Experience implementing enterprise operations practices. Must have virtualization skills related to implementing & administering virtual desktops using VMware
- Knowledgeable in Cloud architecture (AWS or Azure)
- Knowledgeable in LINUX / UNIX / Windows systems from an enterprise view
- Knowledgeable in Layer 3 appliances and network operations
- Knowledgeable in security configurations and developing / implementing enterprise
solutions and management practices to optimize IT operations
- Strong knowledge of MS Visio, and working knowledge of MS Project;
