Elite Technical is seeking an HR Generalist who has specifically supported an Employee Relations department/functions. The selected candidate will be responsible for responding to general associate inquiries about human resources programs, procedures, and policies. Serves as the initial point of contact for HR inquiries for the workforce. (Tier 1 support). Assist functional teams daily to ensure all customer requests are handled in a timely and confidential manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- 25% Responds to general intake inquiries from employees and manages the process necessary to bring to resolution in a timely manner.
- 15% Maintains information systems and processes necessary paperwork. i.e. severance, telework etc.
- 15% Maintains and keeps updated support documentation used by HR/Shared Services/Employees ensuring relevance and current content.
- 15% Reviews and gathers feedback continuously on how to improve HR processes, sharing with HR Shared services team members.
- 15% Maintains in-depth knowledge of company-specific policies and practices.
- 15% Acts as a liaison with functional areas with HR; ensuring understanding of processes.
Although this position is primarily remote, we are seeking candidates that reside in the Maryland, Wash DC, Virginia area for occasional onsite meetings.
-Education Level: BS Degree in HR related field is preferred.
-Experience: 3+ years within an HR Generalist Field
-Background in Employee Relations related topics: conflict management, employee performance management, vacation/PTO related questions, compensation, etc-
-Customer service experience, hr onboarding experience, or experience as an hr technician/analyst/generalist.
-Strong communication skills, Sound/thoughtful judgment, organizational skills, attention to detail, good follow up and follow-through, experience working in an HR department, critical thinking skills, someone who takes initiative and is proactive
-Able to work in a fast- pace environment with changing priorities, ability to face ambiguity and rapid change
-Software Requirements: MS Excel, any Human Capital MGT software (Workday, PeopleSoft)
