Systems Administrator

Elite Technical is seeking a Systems Administrator to join out clients mission-focused team that maintains applications, services, microservices, Platform as a Service (PaaS), and support services. The Systems Administrator is responsible for providing support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems. Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets. Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning. In addition, responsible for the design and implementation of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware. Possess an expert working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Can analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration.

This position is direct hire to our customer on a government project. This position can be staffed in Chantilly/Reston, VA or Dayton, OH.

Required Skills

-Security clearance status of TS/SCI with a CI polygraph test is required. (CI Poly can be completed during onboarded).
- Bachelors degree in information technology, or information management and twelve years of comparable work experience. Desired skills include up to ten or more years of program/application operations experience. Prefer candidates who have experience in the Intelligence Community
-Must be DoD 8570 compliant at IA Technical (IAT)/IA Management (IAM) Level 2
- Ability to configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems. Ability to provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problem
-Ability to perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions.
-Experience working on a development team under DoD/DIA Risk Management Framework, understanding of Oracle and/or CENTOS based architecture, Cloud, full-stack, OpenShift, and Java
