Principal Software Engineer

Our client, a leading federal defense contractor has a 6-month contract in Canonsburg, PA for a Principal Software Engineer to be part of their Torpedo Systems Group (TSG) to design, develop, demonstrate, produce, assemble, test and deliver torpedo SONAR arrays and electronic assemblies.

Required Skills

- Must be US Citizen due to government requirement
- Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
- Requires a Bachelor-s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 10+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 8 years of job-related experience.

Key Skills:

- C/C++ and Multithreaded programming
- Windows system development and low-level API
- Application and system architecture
- Object Oriented Concepts
- Integrating pre-existing and legacy software and Firmware modules with lab tools such as National Instruments LabWindows/CVI
- Deep understanding system tier concepts such as OS, Middleware, and application layers
- Agile software practices
