Windows Engineer

Our Client is seeking a The Technical Architect Specialist that is responsible for Windows Server administration and ensuring product availability for application teams and end users. This role involves evaluating, recommending, and troubleshooting technical solutions across various applications. The Specialist should have expert-level experience in the supported products and operating environments (e.g., HP/UX, Windows, Linux). Additionally, they will collaborate with System Specialists, Programmers, and vendors to optimize product use and manage migrations to new versions.

Duties:

-Responsible for functioning as the Technical SME on an enterprise-wide system.
-Responsible for implementations of products/services
-Provides direct technical expertise to Executive applications involving national security.
-Delivers support and design for industry-specific applications that require integration with statewide systems or applications.
-Interacts with executive level business users or technical experts.
-Demonstrates expertise in teaching/conveying technical and/or functional courses/concepts.
-Develop appropriate work programs and use them to effectively schedule tasks/assignments.
-Identifies improvements to project standards to achieve high-quality services/products.
-Actively contributes as an expert or actual designer.
-Provides accurate estimates for design and programming efforts for system changes and enhancements.
-Confirms that technical architecture will support all changes required by product enhancements.
-Anticipates, identifies, tracks, and resolves issues and risks affecting own work and work of the Application Team.
-Applies specific expertise to ensure that products meet defined customer objectives.
-Anticipates and resolves issues specific to the team.
-Determines time estimates and schedule for own work and resolves issues promptly.
-Determines server sizing and configuration, printer configuration, bandwidth analysis, and capacity planning.
-Monitor the availability of updates/upgrades to server hardware, tests, and install updates/upgrades.
-Identifies and tracks issues, risks, and action items.
-Participates in product design reviews to verify that the design meets quality standards and functional/technical requirements.
-Performs impact analyses on production fixes and enhancements to establish priorities.
-Provide basic product support and provide accurate and complete answers to detailed product questions promptly.
-Provide input to training and/or documentation materials regarding the latest technical and functional design changes.
-Review the system test approach and conditions used as the basis for detailed test scenarios.
