Network Administrator

Our client, an IT Services organization supporting commercial and federal clients, is seeking a Network Administrator to help administer their client's M365 hosted environment, AWS, and Azure environments.

The initial contract is for 6 months with the potential to extend based on job performance and business needs. The selected Network Administrator will be required to work onsite 3-days per week in downtown Washington DC.

Responsibilities:
* Implement and reconfigure existing assets in response to security audits, best practice, and directed projects.
* Develop in house knowledge and familiarity with systems and integrations
* Provide general network support
* Provide HelpDesk back up
* Assess, plan remediation, seek approval, then work towards the goal using basic project skills (call meetings, craft solution ideas, present / defend solution possibilities, etc.) with self-management expectations. Work through challenges
* Other business duties as assigned


Required Skills

* Bachelor's degree in a related field
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Network Administrator or similar role
* Experience working administering M365 including Sharepoint and OneDrive
* Experience with AWS, Azure, and other cloud technologies
* Experience with Networking, Network Security
* Possess an understanding of how applications integrate with one another
* Database infrastructure knowledge required
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to self-manage and work independently
* Ability to present information to management and make recommendations based on best practice

* Microsoft certifications preferred
* AWS/Azure certifications preferred
* Prior IT project management experience preferred
