Elite Technical is seeking a Software Automation Engineer/SDET to work on a fast-paced cross functional team. The selected candidate will support our clients production environment, providing both automation AND manual related testing activities. We are seeking candidates with strong Automation abilities and is strong with databases (DB2) and performance testing skills. We are seeking candidates with Jenkins Scripting experience as well.

Software releases happen 1x per month on Sundays; the selected hire will be required to work 1 Sunday per month for SW release related activities.

Initially this position is scheduled to be onsite 1x per week in our clients Reston VA and/or Wash DC office(s); once acclimated to the team, this resource will only have to go onsite 1x per quarter for team meetings.

Required Skills

- Bachelor of Science (BS) is required. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
- 5+ years of experience an SDET position. In addition to automation, must have knowledge of manual testing procedures as well
- Must have experience in writing and updating Jenkins Scripts and new Jenkins code
- Must have a strong background in using and managing both front-end and back-end automated testing tools (e.g. Selenium, SoapUI, etc.)
- Experience with relational database management systems = DB2 UDB and DB2 mainframe, big plus if any MS SQL Server or Oracle knowledge as well
- Proven experience with Agile and Waterfall software development life cycle (SDLC) models
- Proven experience with Defect Tracking and management tools(e.g. ALM, AGM, JIRA or others)
- Experience in multiple environments and/or on multiple operating systems (i.e., Windows, Linux, UNIX, Mainframe)
- Experience creating, modifying and maintaining test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and automated test scripts

- Experience working in the healthcare industry
